I can always remember when I opened my business 'cause I got the keys to start renovations on a my 27th birthday. Based on my math, it looks like I'm sneaking up on 8 glorious years in business, come this September. Maybe I should have started this blog on my 9th anniversary of business being that the salon is called theNines. But right now feels right.
Let me introduce myself, Reader. I'm Rachelle. I'm the owner and operator of theNines salon in Spiritwood Saskatchewan. My salon is a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon and as such, you'll only find us using, selling and colouring hair with Paul Mitchell product. If you'd like to see the shop on the Paul Mitchell Focus Salon locator, check it out here https://locator.paulmitchell.com/locator.php?zip=%20spiritwood%20saskatchewan.Periodically I like to just look up my own salon 'cause it makes me feel cool.
If I've kept your attention so far, let me tell a bit more about why I'm writing this love story about my salon. After a few very tumultuous years in my life, something had to change. I was an import from the city and things weren't going well in this strange new land of Small Town Living. When I finally reached my breaking point, miraculously, instead of my spirit breaking, it was my resolve that I could never live happily in small town that broke and I suddenly realized all the things that I could love about life here. Rather than a disgusting moth that emerged from the cocoon I had built around myself, my business emerged and with it, a love for my life and the things and people here that I never knew would be possible.
So I guess I could say that this is going to be a love story about my salon and the town that it's located. If you don't live here, I hope it will encourage you to visit (http://townofspiritwood.ca). If you are a resident of Spiritwood or of any of the surrounding communities, I hope this will help you get to know me and my salon a little better and give you a renewed love of this part of the world.
Reader! Let's be friends!
Look for me at theNines in my https://searchandrescuedenim.com apron that I purchased for my 7-year anniversary, in my kitchen in Spiritwood cooking or any number of places in between. Or find me right here on hairinspiritwood.blogspot.com.
xoxo,
Rachelle

Ohh keep blogging Rachelle!! I love hearing the back-stories and smaller details of a person's success. I'll always remember the evening you approached me at the community auction- such a happy surprise! Having you as a stylist is just an added bonus.
